New Years Headbands

Headbands can make your New Year’s Eve party unique! Start out by sending a headband in the invitations you send out to your guests. Explain in the invitation that everyone is asked to wear a headband. Make sure that the headbands are of three different colors and send out an equal number of each head band or as close as you can get. When the guests arrive for your New Year’s Eve party surprise them with an island theme and have the room sectioned off into three areas; one area for each “tribe”. Whichever color headband they have that’s their “tribe”. It is just fine to place couples in different “tribes”. Have a number of New Year’s Eve party games planned. These New Year’s Eve games don’t have to be physical in nature. They can be trivia and skill type games. The three “tribes” compete against each other for points. First let them gather according to their headband color into their “tribe” and come up with a “tribal” name.

Next have a number of party favors ready to give out as prizes for the winner of each New Year’s Eve game. Have a little gift bag ready to give each guest just for coming. That way no matter how their headband tribe does they will still have a favor. At the end of the games awards larger favors as New Year’s Eve party awards to the headband tribe that won the most games. After that your guests can keep their headbands and party on.
